Vince is the youngest of the four of us,
but he has made up for that deficit (or out of spite -
its hard to really tell) and is making quite a name
for himself in the Napa Valley. As was probably
evident from the preceding family photos - wine has
been and continues to be a focus for four northern
California kids. Vince, like the rest of us, spent his
high school years working in restaurants. Unlike the
rest of us, he went to school for culinary arts,
culminating in several years of study in France. He
has worked for several famous wineries - Sinskey's and
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Stag's
Leap Winery - as their chef to cook meals
to complement their wine offerings. From there he
moved to catering high end parties and weddings - or
just a monthly meal for Robert Mondavi. He now has his
own restaurant - Roux - which is in St. Helena, in the
heart of the Napa Valley. |
